Halil — A Cloud of Black Smoke

A Cloud of Black Smoke documents the revolutionary movement in Turkey during the late 1960s and early 1970s. Halil accessed these photographs on the 30th anniversary of the 1968 movement. These striking black and white photographs are presented in their raw form, without any editing. Offering visuals of the turbulent political movements of the time in various neighborhoods of Istanbul and cities such as Tokat, Niksar, and Kızıldere, the book was compiled by Halil and includes a text by Ertuğrul Kürkçü.
