Victorian 9k Gold and Lapis Lazuli Brooch circa 1850

Description This lovely little Victorian brooch features a gorgeous royal blue and gold lapis stone set in a 9k yellow gold chased border. Often referred to a "lace pin" these small brooches would fasten a collar at the neck in the Victorian era with this example most likely from the mid 19th century circa 1850. A gorgeous frame for a beautiful stone - it would make a fantastic ring or pendant conversion or is perfect on a jacket.
