Emme Wines, 'Pink Lemonade' Field Blend 2025
Variety: Field Blend of Abouriou, Zinfandel, Colombard, and Friends Emme Wines is the project of Rosalind Reynolds, whose path into wine was anything but traditional. Originally studying biochemistry with plans for medical school, she took a year off to work before applying and instead found herself at Gallo’s research winery. What was supposed to be a temporary stop turned into a crash course in winemaking, followed by harvests in New Zealand, France, Argentina, and beyond. Those experiences shaped the way Rosalind thinks about wine today. After seeing everything from large-scale, heavily manipulated production to small family-run estates focused on farming, she found herself drawn to the latter. Now based in California and working with a handful of organically farmed vineyards, she focuses on lesser-known varieties and transparent, low-intervention winemaking. Despite the name, “Pink Lemonade” is very much a red wine, just one that happens to be light on its feet, happiest with a slight chill, and entirely uninterested in taking itself too seriously. Co-fermented field blend from organically farmed California vineyards. Fermented with native yeasts and bottled with minimal intervention. Best served with a slight chill.
