Antique 15K, Demantoid, Emerald & Seed Pearl Ring
Demantoids are a variety of andradite garnet. Discovered in the Ural Mountains of Russia during the middle of the nineteenth century, their deep, bright green hue appealed to the Victorian Era aesthetic, with Fabrege' himself using them prolifically in his designs. The Russian Revolution put a halt to mining the gem, and they are considered rare to find today. From Kathy's personal collection, we offer this stunning oblong antique ring featuring a twenty-two demantoid halo, surrounding twenty-one golden set natural seed pearls and three central emeralds. A beautiful layered confection, perfect for anyone who loves the color green as well as rare gems!
