A Louis XVI Silver Snuff-Box. Oval, Rounded Ends and the Base & Cover each with an Engraved Border. The Sides Reeded, the Cover Engraved with Initials and the Front Engraved 'James Ollier Lovat'. Marked for Paris 1785 by D. Bourgoin, with the Decharge of Jean-François Kalendrin. The box is marked to the cover, body (2 times) and inner rim. Approximate weight is 130 grams or 4.1 troy ounces. Approximate dimensions are 9.7 cm length, 3.2 cm width and 3 cm height. In good condition with light surface wear commensurate with age.
