Up in the Water Tower

I painted this scene inspired by the game FF7 REBIRTH. It's a game that I grew up with, and helped to shape how I see myself and how I coped with being ostracized as a kid. I related a lot to the character named Cloud. This scene in particular has Cloud climbing up the water tower of his hometown to find Aerith waiting for him. Something about this scene just makes me feel like I can breathe, from the mountainous backdrop to the green trees and the easygoing, playful pose Aerith has contrasted with Cloud's stoic yet unassuming pose. I wanted to capture how this scene made me feel.
