ODD12 GPS
OddityRC ODD12 GPS Module ODD12 is a compact single-band, multi-GNSS receiver designed for FPV drones and space-constrained navigation builds. The antenna, TCXO, LNA and filter are integrated into a compact package that supports GPS, BeiDou, Galileo and QZSS. With a typical tracking sensitivity of -165 dBm and a navigation update rate of up to 10 Hz, ODD12 continuously provides position, velocity and time data to the flight controller. Key Features Compact 16 × 12 mm footprint Supports GPS, BeiDou, Galileo and QZSS -165 dBm typical tracking sensitivity Navigation update rate up to 10 Hz NMEA 0183 V4.11 and u-blox protocol support TTL UART data interface 3.3-5 V input voltage Integrated antenna, TCXO, LNA and filter Designed for FPV drones and compact navigation systems Positioning and Navigation Parameter Specification Chipset M10050 Receiver type Single-band Multi-GNSS GPS L1, 1575.42 MHz BeiDou B1I, 1561 MHz Galileo E1, 1575.42 MHz QZSS L1, 1575.42 MHz Tracking sensitivity -165 dBm typical Acquisition sensitivity -148 dBm typical Position accuracy 2.0 m without SBAS, open-sky conditions Velocity accuracy 0.1 m/s without SBAS Timing accuracy 20 ns RMS Cold start 27 s typical Hot start Less than 1 s Aided start 5 s Assisted GNSS AssistNow Online Navigation update rate Up to 10 Hz, 1 Hz default Interface and Power Parameter Specification Data interface TTL UART Data protocols NMEA 0183 V4.11 / u-blox Default baud rate 38400 bps Operating voltage 3.3-5 V, 5 V typical Tracking current 30 mA at 3.3 V Acquisition current 36 mA at 3.3 V Power-saving current 20 mA at 3.3 V Antenna and Mechanical Specifications Parameter Specification Product dimensions 16 × 12 × 6.3 mm Product weight 4.2 g Antenna dimensions 12 × 12 × 4 mm Antenna gain 3 dBi Antenna polarization RHCP Antenna impedance 50 Ω Operating temperature -40°C to +85°C ESD protection Air ±10 kV; contact ±4 kV Operational Limits Parameter Specification Maximum altitude 18,000 m Maximum velocity 515 m/s Acceleration Less than 4 g Pad Definition Pad Function Flight Controller Connection V Power input 5V G Ground GND T (TX) GPS data output FC RX R (RX) GPS data input FC TX Confirm the voltage and pad polarity before applying power. TX and RX must be cross-connected. Applications FPV drones GPS Rescue Compact fixed-wing aircraft Portable navigation devices Position, velocity and time data logging Installation Recommendations Mount the module with the antenna facing upward and keep it as unobstructed as possible. Keep it away from the VTX, ESC, motors and high-current power wiring to reduce RF interference. At a new location, allow the module to acquire satellites outdoors with a clear view of the sky. GPS Rescue or return-to-home performance depends on the flight-controller firmware, configuration and valid GPS fix status. Image for illustrative purposes only
