This piece is fully submergible and washable with dish soap and water! **the back screws that rest against your skin are not powder coated, so folx with metal allergies need to be aware of that. I have been told by a few customers that a coating of clear nail polish over the screws does the trick, but I cannot guarantee that the screw-backs won't cause a reaction in those with material sensitivities/allergies**
