Rio totally gives us Elmer Fudd vibes- he’s ‘verwee verwee quiet’ as he tip toes around the room methodically hunting for little clues as he stays in the shadows of his brother’s boisterous energy! He’s a sweet nerd that thinks deep, has an affectionate side wrapped in timidity, and is the type to be a steadfast encourager once he allows you to be in his inner circle! Rio can be playful and silly but is definitely working within the boundaries of his short pack pecking order as the beta boy who naturally respects his brother’s leadership- nor does he dare take away from his gregariousness and need for the spotlight! We suspect Rio to be the gentle giant type with a natural aloofness that the Bernese are known for until he gets around the love and joy he experiences being surrounded by the familiar! If you are looking for a total sweetheart to graft kind geekiness into your day- Rio is the one for you! He has gone through Super Dog Training, this is a protocol used to stimulate his senses starting from the second day after he was born up until he is 16 days old. This is also known as (ENS) Early Neurological Stimulation. By gently engaging his senses, his brain goes into rapid development much sooner and he will be able to adapt to changes in his environment more smoothly. It is healing, and he is doing great! After hernias are repaired by our vet they normally do not cause any problems in the future. We always have all hernias repaired at our cost so there are no issues or concerns in the future for the new puppy’s family. This is a very minor surgery and will not affect the health of a dog in the future.
