White Wine Dr. Loosen Blue Slate Riesling Seco 2025, 75cl Mosel, Germany

This Blue Slate Riesling Dry showcases the mineral-driven style of the steep blue slate vineyards of the Middle Moselle. Blue slate is the most characteristic type of slate found in this region. Rich in potassium, it provides the vines with vital nutrients and gives the wines a pronounced mineral character that enhances Riesling’s naturally high acidity. In addition to the blue slate soils, the vineyards are characterised by incredibly steep slopes, a favourable position close to the river and excellent drainage. The wine ferments with native yeasts in 3,000-litre neutral oak barrels, which add texture and greater complexity while softening the acidity.
