Authentic hippie rockin roll festival dress. Similar to Jane Birkin, Stevie Nicks and Brigitte Bardot wore. Vintage 1970s Hippie Festival Indian Velvet Embroidered Kaftan Dress. Made in India from the region of Kashmiri. 100% Maroon/dark cherry silky rayon velvet. Contrasted with floral lustrous chain stitch embroidery called "Aari " in orange, blue and yellow gold. Embroidery at bib, neckline, hem, cuffs and front skirt. Bohemian style full length with slightly shaped shift silhouette. Bell sleeves and button front bib. Side seam slits at bottom for easy walking. Amazing as party dress, festival dress or daywear...In great vintage condition. Please refer to pictures. Fits an XS or 2. Mannequin is a size 2.
