Flying Scotsman Vest Kit by Rebecca Duncan (Annual Six)

We now offer handy kits for all our patterns in The Annual (issue six)! This is the beautiful Flying Scotsman Vest by Rebecca Duncan, a perfect layering piece reminiscent of those twisting and turning tracks. All kits include enough yarn to knit the vest, along with a fab project bag to keep it all safe. Please be aware that the kit does not include a copy of The Annual – you can get your copy here. Between jaunts to the buffet car, a quick nip out to the platform for a bit of fresh air, or wrapping yourself up on your seat to watch the landscape slip by, Rebecca Duncan's Flying Scotsman Vest is an excellent companion. Named after Britain's most iconic locomotive, this vest is knit from the top down and features a combination of moss stitch, reminiscent of rural landscapes passing by the train window, and a central twisting cable echoing intersecting train tracks. A split hem and and deep ribbing around the crew neck provide some modern-classic details. Rebecca designed her vest for our DK and Worsted weight yarns, so we've had samples whipped up in Appledore DK, Knit by Numbers DK and Yarnadelic Worsted.
