EASTERN EUROPEAN CHRISTIAN CROSS NECKLACE, 17TH-18TH CENTURY

Gilt bronze. About1 1 5/8" total height with elegant Baroque suspension loop. Raised border delineating the cross with broad beams, the cross beam above center and enclosing a stick cross with Cyrillic inscriptions at the terminals. Reverse with a similar cross with Cyrillic inscriptions. The outside edges in flowing baroque elements. Excellent preservation with crisp detail. Professionally refurbished with the 24karat gold surface restored and on a modern gilt 18" neck chain for contemporary wear. Gift boxed with Certificate of Authenticity.
