Porthminster View ORIGINAL ART WORK

St Ives is my happy place and I have been visiting this beautiful place for over 50 years. My latest St Ives artwork captures the stunning view of Porthminster beach from St Ives harbour. I loved this view as it encapsulates everything I love about St Ives including Tregenna Castle where I got married in 2011. My love of bold colours infuses this artwork with energy and liveliness. The colours reflect my own journey of embracing positivity and finding beauty in the world around me. Themes in my work often vary because my thoughts are always shifting. Some days, I’m drawn to serene landscapes that reflect a calm state of mind, while other times, I explore more abstract compositions that capture moments of intense emotion. Created through the medium of acrylic paint applied to canvas, I use various techniques such as blending, splattering and layering to create highly textured and utterly unique pieces of art. While my paintings are deeply personal, I love that each viewer can interpret them differently.
