Sourced from the western edge of Alexander Valley, where the geothermal field shapes the soil and microclimate, this Geyser Vista Merlot reflects a distinctive interplay of volcanic minerals and coastal influence. The vines grow in well-drained, mineral-rich soils, cooled by maritime breezes that preserve acidity and enhance aromatic complexity. Soil: Yolo gravelly loam Fermented with native yeasts and gently extracted, the wine has a core of vibrant red cherry and wild berry layered with notes of sage, bay leaf, spice, and crushed stone.
