The Ramble

Last week when I went to teach watercolor at Sage Lodge, I looked across the valley towards the mountains and this sight was before me. I was immediately transfixed. Perhaps we could time travel to a jousting event... or was this the Animal World Fair from Babar, king of the elephants? Zeroing in to reality, and after I painted, I discovered it to be The Ramble. An event to celebrate folks who volunteer to make things better around here. I don't know why I had never heard of it, but seeing their tents and hearing of their work feels hopeful to me.
