SOLD OUT Skandi Skinny – an online group workshop, October 25th

This is a three hour online workshop. The class will be recorded and available to rewatch for those who can’t make the live or want to watch the workshop again. Learning objectives: Skinny, curved and tapered inset strips create movement to this Scandi inspired block. There will be two sizes (see below) but many alternative versions will be discussed and going rouge is not only allowed but encouraged and celebrated. I will be using the Complete Drunkard’s Path templates as well as the Oval and Long Oval sets to create the inset curves but, for those who’d prefer a more free-hand approach, I will show you how to cut the curves without the templates. Itinerary: Workshop – Sunday October 25th, 5pm-8pm GMT World Time Buddy 10am-1pm PDT 12pm-3pm CDT 1pm-4pm EDT Included: •PDF paper templates •Scandi Skinny workshop notes for two block sizes (Large 40”, Small 32”) •A recording of the workshop Level: The class is targeted at anyone with general quilting knowledge (how to use a rotary cutter, sew with an accurate seam allowance etc). No curve-piecing experience is needed. Supplies list: •Quality fine sewing thread (40 or 50wt) in neutral or to match your project •Cutting mat •Rotary cutter •Long gridded ruler •Pins •Seam ripper •Access to a printer (for the paper templates) OR my Acrylic templates* * I’ll be using the Complete Drunkard’s Path templates as well as the Oval and Long Oval but free-hand cutting without templates work too if you want to create a wonkier block.
