Penderyn ‘Special Release’ 12 year old 46%

Tasted: Jul 2026 Aromas of fresh, green apple, honey and chunky, toffee’d oak. Very full and generous with macerated dark apricot, baked apple/ pear, ginger and a touch of wood smoke. Gently oxidative with the fruit becoming quite autumnal and showing a little hedgerow character. The palate is full and juicy with the autumnal baked fruit front and centre. Hints of ginger, pepper, corn oil and dark vanilla toffee appear along with a touch of fudge, hedgerow fruit and nippy spice. Long, intense, woody and spicy finish with lingering dark barley and vanilla.
