Wybaleena (Jumbo) Walnuts in Shell

NEW SEASON WYBALEENA WALNUTS Our new-season Wybaleena walnuts are sourced from a small group of growers across Victoria’s Alpine Valleys, King Valley and Stanley in the High Country. Wybaleena is a larger walnut variety, producing an impressive shell and generous kernel. With a rich, fresh walnut flavour and striking size, it’s a beautiful option for enjoying straight from the shell, sharing at the table or adding to seasonal platters. These are exceptional-quality walnuts from cool-climate growing regions particularly well suited to producing fresh, flavoursome nuts. For the more familiar everyday walnut, we also offer the Chandler variety, the classic walnut most commonly grown in Australia. A note on the shell: Dark spotting on the outside of the shell can occur naturally when walnuts are grown without cosmetic chemical sprays and should not affect the kernel inside. Tip: No nutcracker? Carefully insert the tip of a bread-and-butter knife into the flatter end of the walnut, opposite the pointed end, and give it a gentle twist. Most will split neatly in half, making the kernel easy to remove.
