Juniper Books 25th Anniversary Poster
Some mountains are made of granite. This one's made of books. To commemorate 25 years of Juniper Books, we commissioned Boulder artist Danny Evans — known for his original artwork and posters for touring bands and music festivals — to design something completely original: a festival-style poster that celebrates the printed book. The result is a tower of 25 classic titles rising like a peak between two juniper trees, climbing past the Colorado foothills toward a rising sun. The Odyssey anchors the base. The Handmaid's Tale sits near the summit. In between: Dostoevsky, Brontë, Twain, Austen, Cervantes, Vonnegut, Woolf — the books that have shaped readers for generations, stacked one on top of the other like a psychedelic Rockies skyline. It's a poster for anyone who's ever felt that a good book can take you somewhere higher — the same lift you get from a great show, a great trail, or a great view. Books have always been Juniper's whole reason for being, and after 25 years in Boulder, we wanted a piece of art that captured why: because reading, like music, like mountains, has a way of putting you somewhere bigger than yourself. 18" x 24". Hand signed and numbered by Danny Evans himself, limited to an edition of 100. Frame not included.
