Fashion Sewing Class for Tweens and Teens

Learn the art of sewing real and wearable clothing in our fabulous studio! Beginners are welcome in our teen fashion sewing class where we'll create new garments each season. Think structured handbags, skirts with pockets, boxy tees and so much more in a social, fun, and screen-free setting. Class Details: Duration: 90-minute weekly classes Location: 1556 Laskin Road #144, Virginia Beach VA 23451 Pricing is per month, supplies included Ages: 11-17yrs Student/teacher ratio of 6:1 Makeup missed dates easily What We’ll Learn: Introduction to using a sewing machine with safety features like speed control and finger guards. Measuring, cutting fabric, and using patterns. Creating 2-3 fashionable items each season like tops, skirts, pants, hoodies, and dresses and wearing them in a fashion show! Each student works on their own project at their own pace with guidance from our professional instructors. Our small class size ensures lots of personal attention. Seasonal Projects & Fashion Shows: Our projects get more challenging as your child's skills improve. Each season brings new and trendy pieces that the young designers can proudly wear. We hold 3 professional fashion shows throughout the year in November, February, and June. Class Dates: There will be no classes on the following dates: Labor Day Weekend (Sept 5-7) Thanksgiving Break (November 26–29) Winter Recess (December 24–January 3) Easter Weekend (March 27–28) Memorial Day Weekend (May 29–31) Policies: Tuition remains consistent regardless of the number of classes in a given month.
