AirTrap® Calibration Kit – Factory-Verified Flow Check for 15 l/min Pumps
A verified flow rate is the line in your report that makes the spore count defensible. The flow rate of the pump sets the volume of air sampled – and with it the spores/m³ in the lab result. A pump running off target over- or understates the concentration. The AirTrap® Calibration Kit lets you verify 15 l/min on site in under a minute: open the case, connect the kit to the AirTrap® XL cassette, read the float. Pre-assembled, factory-verified, no adapters to hunt for and no recurring calibration to schedule. What makes it differentUnlike a generic flow meter, the kit is a complete, factory-verified assembly with an AirTrap® inlet adapter developed by Apacor. It connects directly to the cassette – no extra tubing, adapters or pump-specific hardware. What you getFully pre-assembled AirTrap® Calibration Kit: 1× Dwyer Series VF Visi-Float® flow meter (rotameter) 1× HDPE elbow, black (1/8" NPT × 1/4" barb) 1× clear PVC tubing (50 mm) 1× Apacor AirTrap® inlet adapter Why this kit Factory-verified – no recurring calibration of the kit, no annual service cost, no downtime No adapters needed – the integrated inlet adapter connects directly to the sampling cassette Universal – works with all standard 15 l/min air sampling pumps Low total cost of ownership – one purchase, no follow-on costs over its service life Field-proof – built for repeated use in rough conditions Fast, repeatable setup – one simple workflow, minimal set-up time Direct reading – Visi-Float® acrylic body with engraved scale, no batteries, no display Use in 5 steps Prepare the pump: pump off; check tubing for cracks, kinks or dirt. Connect the kit to the AirTrap® sampling cassette; make sure the connections are airtight. Start the pump and set the target flow (15 l/min). Verify: let the pump stabilise for a few seconds, read the flow on the scale, adjust if needed. Finish: pump off, remove the kit – your pump is verified and ready. Good practice Store the kit dry and dust-free Keep the tubing clean and dry to maintain accuracy Verify the flow before every sampling campaign Why pump calibration mattersThe flow rate determines the actual volume of air sampled and therefore the quantitative value of the lab result. For expert reports, remediation clearance and insurance cases a documented pump calibration is often a requirement; an on-site check before every campaign is good professional practice – record the value in your sampling log. Method and standards: Indoor air measurement · Pump instructions.Technical data Type: variable-area flow meter (rotameter) with clear Visi-Float® acrylic body Range: 5–25 l/min (target 15 l/min with margin) Reading: direct mechanical reading of the float position Power: none required – purely mechanical Calibration: factory-verified, no recurring calibration required Connection: integrated AirTrap® inlet adapter (1/8" NPT × 1/4" barb) CompatibilityOptimised for AirTrap® XL sampling cassettes and the Sporecyte™ air sampling pump (both available separately); compatible with all 15 l/min air sampling pumps.Delivery and priceFree delivery within the EU.
