A what-if at rehearsals: “What if there was an effect that could shift the blame for a fuck-up to the other guy’s amp?” That joke was developed into reality by Troy van Leeuwen, who conceived the ingenious labyrinth of possibilities that lives inside the Blameshifter. Dr. No Effects then brought it to life — circuits, routing, layout, and full cosmetic reality. Of course, a custom set had to be made for the inventors of the concept, with the names filled in for each individual member. Every member has his own Blameshifter.
