Kalevala Koru Viking Era Design Bronze Wolf’s Head Brooch
This striking Kalevala Koru brooch is based on a unique archaeological find from the Luistari burial site in Eura, Finland — one of the most significant Iron Age excavation areas in the country. The original design was discovered in the grave of a wealthy man, dressed in a yellow silk tunic and blue cloak fastened with this ornate brooch. The wolf’s head motif and intricate Scandinavian ribbon ornamentation mark this piece out as a powerful emblem of status from the Viking Age. Kalevala Koru makers mark. Size 7.5cm x 4cm.
