Antique The Chimes book by Charles Dickens

Rare antique The Chimes book by Charles Dickens with a stunning gold gilt cover with a woman in a dress and hat pictured. There are also a couple of black and white illustrations throughout. This book follows Toby "Trotty" Veck, a poor working-class man. When Trotty has lost his faith in humanity and believes that his poverty is the result of his own unworthiness he is visited on New Year's Eve by spirits to help restore his faith. I'm unsure of the age, but it was likely published in late 1800s/early 1900s. There is wear and discoloration on the cover, spine, and pages due to age, but overall this book is still in very good condition. The book measures about 6.25" x 4". Please note that photos may appear brighter than actual book.
