Gold plated necklace pendant with motifs This medallion represents the art of the Sinú tribe in constructing ornaments out of gold. Its design highlights a seated human figure identified as a shaman, accompanied by two symbolic animals symbolizing strength and skill. The Los Zenú (or Los Sinú) tribe is known as the tribe of goldsmith artists of the pre-Columbian culture. Some descendants of the ancient Zenú still live in the shelter of San Andrés de Sotavento, in the department of Cordoba. They raise cattle and weave the beautiful"Voltiaos"- or"Vueltiaos"- hats and hammocks. This piece of jewelry is an authentic replica of the original goldsmith's work on display in the Gold Museum of Bogotá-Colombia.
