Antique Georgian Wedgewood Shakespeare Intaglio Fob

A wonderful commemorative antique fob depicting Shakespeare, most likely made by Josiah Wedgewood of Wedgewood. The intaglio is set into an openwork brass frame with a hooked top. A similar cameo is featured in the British Museum here and is also listed under number 276 in 'A catalogue of intaglios, for seals and rings, made by Wedgwood and Bentley 1779'. Condition There is some age related wear to the seal which has been pictured. The piece remains is in good antique condition. Width - 2.5 cm Length - 3 cm Weight - 8.6 grams
