This Ethiopian single origin boasts flavour notes that are floral and sweet with hints of Stone fruit, Pomegranate, Cherry and Chocolate. The Keffa Zone, among the well-known Yirgacheffe, Sidamo and Harrar, is a region of immense global significance, particularly as the undisputed genetic origin of Coffea arabica, the world's most popular coffee species. Located in Ethiopia’s mountainous southwest, Keffa is the site of the famous Kaldi coffee legend and holds the largest remaining wild coffee forests, which serve as a critical genetic reservoir. Its ecological value is recognized by the UNESCO Kafa Biosphere Reserve designation, protecting its unique montane cloud forests and biodiversity. Keffa remains central to Ethiopia's agricultural economy, standing as a prime example of Ethiopia's lush and fertile land. This washed coffee produces medium acidity, smooth, round body and is grown at 1400-2200 masl.
