Sunflower – Edo Kiriko whisky glass by Satoshi Nabetani

A rocks/whisky glass in deep sunflower-yellow crystal with a warmth like the sun – designed and hand-cut by Satoshi Nabetani, master of traditional Japanese crafts. Seen from the side, the cutting is fine and graphic. But look down into the glass and the motif appears: a sunflower in full bloom. In the base sits a playful pattern resembling sunflower seeds, cut in the traditional Nanako motif, which in Japan stands for prosperity and progress. The cheerful glow of the sunflower and the precise craftsmanship make the glass an experience every time it comes out – for whisky, cold drinks and anything that deserves a beautiful glass. Sunflower also comes as a sake glass, so the motif can be collected as a small set. A gift that spreads joy – for a birthday, a wedding or just because. Like all Kagami Crystal glassware, it comes in a sealed wooden box – ready to give as a gift.
