Kodama Tree

Limited edition of 50 prints. Paper size Approximately 8" x 7 Print size 4" x 3" Each print is hand carved from a block of solid endgrain wood Printed onto Japanese washi paper Each print is numbered, titled and signed by me. Kodama Mythical Japanese forest spirits that inhabit ancient trees. If a Kodama tree is cut down it is said the spirit will also die and they will heavily curse anyone who harms their forest. This is my interpretation of a Kodama spirit in the loose form of a stag. I would love to imagine they are protecting our beautiful forests now. Packaging All prints are shipped flat mounted onto black backer board. They will be encased within a thin plastic sleeve to protect ink. I try to use all eco friendly materials. Each print is hand made with love from Port Orchard, WA.
