Howlin' Hound Trick or Treat/ Pet Parade 2020. The basic takeaways: dogs in costumes Coolest trick or treat in Columbus community driven event $40 to participate anticipating 250 dogs which translates to 500+ humans (math!) Cakehound bakes and provides treats did I mention dogs in costumes? Sometimes their humans wear them too Howlin’ Hound is a trick or treat event for dogs located in German village. Trick or treaters and their humans will follow their map to various participating businesses where they will collect cookies and ogle your creations / curated goods / services. It is a $40 fee to participate which gets you about 500 folks and the necessary treats for their beasts. Payment / signup deadline: Oct. 5th. If you're interested please sign up ASAP so I can coordinate all of the event materials and baking more easily. If you have specific products or posts you’d like me to highlight let me know, otherwise content is chosen at random. We would greatly appreciate costume contest prize donations. There will be 2 prizes for most original individual costume and most original group. Everyone who donates item(s) will receive social tags on the prize announcement page as well as any other materials I use to promote the event. Prizes should be made available to me for display by 10/24. Day of details: Sunday October 25th. from 12-3pm. Check in for the event will be at 12 noon, and 1:00pm, with check in closing at 2:00 pm. Folks will have until 3:00pm to complete the route. (I have sign ups in two blocks to reduce bottle necking and spread the folks out a bit. Tickets for the event will be posted online through https://thecakehound.com/collections/seasonal We've consistently sold out for both Howlin' and Hoppin' Hound events for the last 5years with at least 200 dogs in attendance. I anticipate 250 or 500+ people this year. This is a great opportunity to introduce your business to new customers and remind previous shoppers how amazing you are. Dogs will check in at the corner of Jaeger and Deshler, collect a map of participating locations and bag to collect their treats, then head out into the village. If you don’t have staff to distribute the treats, you are welcome to leave them at your front door- but people do tend to get greedy, unfortunately. Each dog gets 2 cookies. Strategy at Cakehound is to have the treats back at the sales counter, so folks have to walk into the store, which means they're more likely to purchase something. Treats: all treats will be provided by Cakehound. They are themed Halloween / fall cookie cutouts (witches, pumpkins, bats, etc. ).
