Hand Knit Cap - Kasuri

A hand-knit cap in British wool blended with Merino. Knit by hand on manual flat-bed frames at a heritage workshop in Japan, a method nearly extinct in modern mass production. Our workshop is powered by a generational bridge of experts, ranging from their 30s to their 70s. By combining traditional hand-knitting for complex structural details with manual frame knitting for the body, we spend 20 hours on every single piece. The result is a garment that possesses a human warmth and structural integrity that no computer-controlled machine can replicate. Kasuri Gradation: This pre-dyed 4-color Kasuri (space-dyed) yarn creates a sophisticated, painterly gradation throughout the knit, ensuring no two pieces are exactly alike.
