Springtail Food

Holy-Poly Springtail Food is fine powdered made for feeding starter cultures, master cultures, and established springtail colonies without dumping a pile of food into the cup. We developed and used this blend during HPI springtail culture testing, including with White Springtails (Folsomia candida). The fine powder spreads easily across the culture surface, which makes it simple to feed lightly and avoid the mess that comes with overfeeding. How to Feed: Give the culture a very light dusting. That’s it. Once most of the previous food is gone, feed again. Larger established cultures can handle a little more, but springtails do not need a mountain of food. Don’t overdo it. Too much food sitting in a wet culture can encourage mold, pests, and unwanted buildup.
