Each stage supports clearer, better tasting drinking water by addressing sediment, odor, taste, and selected dissolved compounds.This cartridge is designed specifically for the PURINIZE® PRO 5 10L Water Filter.Four Filtration Stages Activated carbon: Adsorbs compounds associated with unwanted tastes and odors. Zeolite: Uses a porous mineral structure and ion exchange properties to capture selected dissolved compounds and particulates. Silica sand: Helps trap granular material, suspended solids, and sediment. Ion exchange resin: Exchanges selected dissolved ions as water passes through the cartridge. Replacement ScheduleReplace the cartridge every six months or after approximately 500 gallons of use, whichever comes first.
