Woodburning Ornament Workshop

Instructor: Heather Martin Get into the holiday spirit in this relaxed, hands-on workshop where you’ll create your own one-of-a-kind wood-burned ornaments. You’ll learn simple techniques, experiment with design, and craft meaningful pieces that are perfect for gifting or decorating your home. Ornaments include your choice of: 1.5 inch wooden sphere ornaments (up to 3) 2.5 inch live edge rounds (up to 6) Additional ornaments available for purchase in class All materials are provided Suitable for beginners No previous experience is required Meet the instructor: My journey into pyrography began as a simple desire to create handmade, heartfelt gifts for friends and family. I instantly fell in love with the process—the slow, intentional rhythm of burning designs into wood—and, with the encouragement of those around me, I eventually made the leap from a full-time career in management to pursue art. Now, nearly a decade into woodburning, my passion has grown into Fire Work Designs. I've been an artist and creator for as long as I can remember—always drawn to hands-on making, whether it’s crafting with my kids, building a shed with my dad, or exploring nature with my family. Creating brings me a childlike joy and a deep sense of accomplishment. It’s both therapeutic and consuming, and I’m constantly inspired by the process.
