Substantial butcher's counter with a thick maple work surface above a dark-stained wooden base. Large white milk-glass panels fill the front, creating a strong contrast with the warm top and dark framework. Paneled ends, a low stretcher, and brass-capped feet complete the commercial form. The reverse has four open storage compartments arranged around a central divider, providing room for wrapping materials, tools, and shop supplies. The long uninterrupted work surface and accessible rear shelving make the counter equally useful as a substantial display fixture. Counters of this type were built for the daily demands of early-20th-century butcher shops, grocers, and market interiors. The durable maple top served as a work surface while the milk-glass front gave the customer-facing side a clean, finished appearance. Shows moderate wear from age and long-term commercial use, including scratches, scuffs, finish loss, minor staining, and edge wear. The maple top retains visible evidence of use, and a developed patina is present throughout. 96.25" W x 22.5" D x 32.5" H Top shelf: 85.5" W x 16.75" D x 11" H Bottom shelf: 85.5" W x 16.75" D x 10" H MM - C-12403 - 012225 MM - 102926 This piece will need to ship via freight.
