11kg Used Coffee Roaster - Royal #5 Circa 1900 - Stock S0782
11kg / 24lbs Used Coffee Roaster Royal #5 BASICS | SPECS | CRATE & FREIGHT Meet Rosie. A little Jetsons personality, with a whole lot of roasting history. Dating to the early 1900s, this 11kg Royal #5 used coffee roaster was manufactured by A.J. Deer Co. of Hornell, New York. Her current owner named her after Rosie the Robot from The Jetsons—perhaps inspired by that familiar silhouette! Purchased at a flea market about 15 years ago, Rosie comfortably roasted 20-lb. batches of peanuts for the seller’s business until COVID closed it in 2020. She’s since been stored in a garage, disconnected and decommissioned. The seller reports she powers on, worked well in service, and has been consistently cleaned and maintained. Expect normal wear and plenty of vintage character. Set up for natural gas, with propane conversion possible according to the seller. Two metal collection bins are included. (NOTE: The chimney shown in the photos and video is not included.) Got room for a century of roasting history—and a little personality? Watch this vintage roaster in action! Forgive the grainy footage—Rosie’s charm still comes through. She’s roasting peanuts here, so expect a different sound when roasting coffee beans.
