Hermle Z216-M High-Speed Microcentrifuge

The Hermle Z216-M High-Speed Microcentrifuge combines high centrifugal force, high microtube capacity and a broad selection of interchangeable rotors in a compact benchtop system. With a speed range of 200 to 15,000 rpm and maximum RCF of 21,631 × g, the Z216-M can be configured for a variety of microcentrifuge applications. Depending on the installed rotor, the Z216-M accepts tube formats ranging from 0.2 mL to 5.0 mL, including standard 1.5/2.0 mL microcentrifuge tubes, PCR strips, spin column kits, 5 mL centrifuge tubes and hematocrit capillaries. The available Z216-4420 rotor provides capacity for up to 44 × 1.5/2.0 mL tubes per run, while the Z216-2420S COMBI-Rotor accommodates both microcentrifuge tubes and PCR strips. Advanced microprocessor controls allow rotational speed to be set and displayed in either rpm or RCF, and the control system provides adjustable acceleration and deceleration rates, stored programs and a Quick-key for short runs. The Z216-M also features a motor-driven lid lock, active imbalance detection and automatic cut-off. The Z216-M has an 11-inch-wide footprint and weighs approximately 37.4 lb (17 kg). Rotors are sold separately, allowing the centrifuge to be configured for the tube format and throughput requirements of the laboratory.
