Vintage Mens 1940s Double Breasted Chesterfield Overcoat Dark Grey Black Wool DB 36"/38"

A really beautiful vintage 1940s Chesterfield type overcoat, made from firm but soft-handle wool fabric in darkest grey or near-black with tiny pale strands in the nap. Cut in the classic double-breasted style with broad peaked lapels, 6 x 2 button fastening with 3 decorative buttons to the cuffs, quite heavily padded shoulders, fitted waist, 1 breast & 2 flapped lower pockets, & long rear kick vent. Fully lined with lustrous black satiny fabric, with inside breast & ticket pockets; no maker's label present. Please study the photographs carefully - they form an important part of the description. NB Accessories not included. Size: Suggested Small Long, to fit about a 36"/38" chest depending on whether a suit jacket is worn beneath. Photographed on a 38" mannequin.
