From 2020 it was rebuilt with local community leaders, government support and Crowd Farm Africa. Today it works with surrounding smallholder farmers and is experimenting with natural and anaerobic processing — still rare in Kenya. The Process This lot is a Natural Anaerobic: 🍒 Hand-picking — Only ripe cherries are harvested 🧪 Anaerobic fermentation — Whole cherries ferment in sealed, oxygen-limited tanks ☀️ Raised-bed drying — Dried whole on African beds with the fruit intact The Cup Strawberry and red grapes lead with jammy sweetness, balanced by a tart cranberry brightness. Dried fig adds depth, and fruity florals linger on the finish. Very sweet, lively acidity and a moderate, clean fermentation character.
