Rare Olympique de Marseille (OM) long-sleeved home shirt as worn in the season 1994-1995. Rare in short sleeves but even more rare in long sleeves! Olympique Marseille 1994–95 was a remarkable season as the club competed in France’s Division 2 after being relegated following the VA-OM scandal. Coached first by Marc Bourrier and later by Henri Stambouli, Marseille won the Division 2 title with 25 wins from 42 matches. Tony Cascarino was the star striker and scored 31 league goals. Marseille also reached the semi-finals of the Coupe de France, where they lost 2–0 to Paris Saint-Germain. Despite playing in the second division, they were allowed to enter the UEFA Cup and beat Olympiakos before being eliminated by FC Sion in the second round. The club was not allowed to return to the top division for financial reasons, so they remained in Division 2 for another season.
