An incredibly scarce find for the lover of moody, dramatic Victorian ironstone in flow black. This mid-19th-century footed tea waste bowl was crafted by Jacob Furnival & Co.,Staffordshire. It features the highly sought-after "Medina" pattern, a sweeping, romantic landscape filled with exotic architecture and fountain oases Full of rich, authentic historic character. This piece features heavy, beautiful all-over tea staining, with deep, darker pooling at the base that highlights its original life as a functioning Victorian tea table slop bowl. It shows honest wear including a few small, time-worn chips along the upper rim and one chip on the bottom foot ring. There is a well established stable hairline crack.
