ESAB CoreWeld 46 LS Metal Cored Wire Low Silica Metal Core Wire - E70C-6M H4 - CWB Approved ESAB Coreweld 46 LS is a premium mild steel, gas-shielded metal cored wire (FCAW/MCAW) designed to deliver high-quality and exceptionally clean welds. Engineered for maximum versatility, it is highly effective for welding thin plates (greater than 1mm) while performing equally well on thicker sections. Ultra-Clean Welds: Formulated to leave a very low amount of silica on the weld surface, minimizing post-weld cleanup. Superior Gap Bridging: Produces a wider arc that effortlessly bridges larger gaps compared to conventional solid wires. Versatile Material Thickness: Optimized for a wide range of applications, successfully welding thin plates (>1mm) as well as thicker structural sections. Low Hydrogen Profile: Maintains extremely low diffusible hydrogen levels (<4~ml/100g) to resist cracking. Excellent Mechanical Properties: Delivers a reliable typical as-welded yield strength of 485 MPa, a tensile strength of 545 MPa, and an elongation of 29%.
