Small Maintenance Control Station

The maintenance control station was still powered when the search party entered, its consoles glowing faintly through layers of dust and smoke. A Lieutenant moved toward the upper control bank while a Sergeant scanned the corridor for signs of movement near the room. Half finished repair logs flickered across one terminal beside an overturned chair and abandoned tool kit. Somewhere deeper in the colony, metal groaned hard enough to make the entire station vibrate for a few seconds.
