Bleecker and Bowery. It's a famous address. Think CBGB. The Ramones. Talking Heads. The Patti Smith Group. Television. It's not that now but you can feel the ghosts. I honestly saw a miracle, which will always go a long way in my life for believing in Angels in America. It's too long a story to tell here but it involved a pigeon falling dead from the sky and an angel cradling this being tenderly with dignity and respect. The dog in this picture is named Jenny and she is just so normal. Choosing to bark unexpectedly and intermittently, sometimes at a person, sometimes another dog. My peanut gallery compatriots and I agreed, we loved that the dog's person did not over react to any of this. Just a day in the life. Pigeons and unprovoked dog barking. The much-loved Jenny. It was an honor to be there painting and everyone knew it.
