Small group trip from the streets of Kathmandu into the Langtang valley, with an optional climb of Tserko Ri. First the city, temples and food, then several days in the mountains with lodges, bridges, forests and views of Himalayan peaks. All with space for rest, safe progress and a good group atmosphere. Trip overview Duration: 27 NOVEMBER - 6 DECEMBER 2026, 11 days (Kathmandu - Langtang - Kathmandu) Price: €1,200 Level: medium Daily walking time: about 4 - 7 hours, optional ascent to around 4,985 m - Accommodation and Food, in mountain lodges and guesthouses, in shared room - Small group, more space for each person Reservation and payments To confirm your place, a non-refundable deposit of €200 is required. After the deposit is received, we will send you an email with a link to pay the remaining amount. You can pay the rest: in one payment or in parts, based on an agreed payment plan. Your place on the trip is fully confirmed once the full amount is paid before departure. Deadline for full Payment is 30th August 2026 Itinerary overview Day 1: - Kathmandu Arrival in Kathmandu, pick-up at the airport and check-in at a trusted guesthouse in Thamel. Welcome dinner and a short introduction to the program. Day 2 - Exploring Kathmandu Coffee, walk through the city, selected temples and neighborhoods, local food and time for first impressions. Also serves as gentle acclimatization. Day 3 - Transfer to Syabrubesi Travel by local bus to the village of Syabrubesi, which is the starting point of the Langtang trek. Guesthouse accommodation, preparation for the first trekking day. Day 4 - Syabrubesi - Riverside First day on the trail. We walk along the river, through forest, bridges and small tea houses. Overnight in the Riverside area or by the river. Day 5 - Ascent to Kyanjin Gumba We continue higher up the valley, with more open views and mountain meadows. In the evening we reach the village of Kyanjin Gumba - this will be our base camp for the next days. Day 6 - Rest and Kyanjin Gumba area Easier day. Shorter walks nearby, visit to the cheese factory, walk toward the glacier or a lake. Time for tea, reading and the slow rhythm of village life. Day 7 - Ascent of Tserko Ri (optional) Early start, ascent of Tserko Ri without technical climbing but with solid elevation gain. The reward is wide views of Langtang Lirung and the surrounding peaks. Return to Kyanjin and rest. Day 8 - Descent to Bamboo We start descending back through the valley, forests and tea houses to the Bamboo area, where we spend the night. Day 9 - Return to Syabrubesi Last trekking section back to Syabrubesi. Hot shower, good food and well earned rest. Day 10 - Transfer back to Kathmandu Return by car to Kathmandu, accommodation in Thamel, free evening, last shopping or a quiet dinner. Day 11 - Massage and closing Regeneration massage in an Ayurvedic clinic, time in the city, last momos, tea and visit of the biggest Boudha stupa in the world. Departure home according to flights. What is included ✅ Airport transfer and accommodation in Kathmandu 2 nights in a trusted guesthouse in Thamel (shared rooms or twin rooms). ✅ Accommodation on the trek 7 nights in mountain lodges along the route. ✅ Food Most meals within the program: in Kathmandu a shared welcome dinner, on the trek breakfast, lunch and dinner in tea houses according to the daily plan. ✅ Local transport Transfer Kathmandu - Syabrubesi - Kathmandu (bus or jeep, depending on agreement and road conditions). ✅ Permits and fees Entry to Langtang National Park and required trekking permits. ✅ Guide Group led by me during the entire program, support with pace, safety and daily planning. ✅ Program in Kyanjin Gumba Shared walks in the area, visit to the cheese factory, optional summit day on Tserko Ri. ✅ Final massage in Kathmandu One regeneration massage on the last day of the program. ✅ Practical support before the trip Recommended packing list, visa tips, travel insurance suggestions, help with flights and with setting up payments. ✅ Small group We travel in a small group so there is space for an individual approach. What is not included - International flights to and from Kathmandu - Tourist visa for Nepal (paid at the airport on arrival) - Travel insurance that covers trekking up to around 5,000 m - Food and drinks outside the program, snacks, coffee, sweets - Gear rental (sleeping bag, poles, crampons etc.) - I can help arrange this locally - Personal expenses (souvenirs, laundry, extra trips, bottled water, special drinks) - Alcohol and special drinks (beer, cans, espresso, cola etc.) - Voluntary tips for local staff (porters, drivers, lodge staff) - Extra nights in Kathmandu outside the official trip dates Your guide We have have led groups in the Philippines, India, Norway and Swedish Lapland, from tropical beaches to snow and northern lights.
