Isle of Raasay Hungarian Oak Limited Release

The Oak Species Maturation Series returns for a third year, spotlighting Quercus petraea from the Zemplén Mountains region in Hungary. This release combines peated and unpeated Raasay spirit, matured separately in cask type before marrying for a perfectly complex, lightly peated taste. What sets this release apart is the use of ex-Oloroso sherry casks rather than virgin oak. This choice softens and enriches the inherent spiciness of Hungarian Oak with the deep, dried-fruit profile of Oloroso. With only 8,000 bottles available worldwide, this Limited Release won't be around for long.
