Beeslaar Pinotage 2024
Appealingly dense crimson in the glass, reflecting confident yet measured extraction. The nose is perfumed and expressive, offering layered aromas of black and red cherry, ripe plum and raspberry, framed by baking spice and a subtle rose-petal lift. Savoury undertones and a gentle Fynbos character add complexity and a distinctly Cape identity. The palate opens supple and luscious, underpinned by fresh acidity and gripping, granular tannins that give shape and authority to the refined fruit profile. Flavours of cherry kirsch, plum and boysenberry fill the mid-palate, edged by a slight herbal nuance. Succulent yet composed, the wine builds in depth toward a long, savoury, dry and gently puckering finish that is typical of the Beeslaar Pinotage. A polished, serious expression with clear potential to mature gracefully.
