1940s/50s Wide Brim Raffia Hat

1940s/50s wide brim hat made from brown raffia with a low crown. It has a grosgrain ribbon band with a bow detail and black tie ribbons. The shape has a boater-style look, with a flat brim and shallow crown. Measurements: • Length approx. 31,5 cm / 12.5" • Width approx. 29,5 cm / 11.5" • Inner circumference approx. 53,5-54 cm / 21-21.25" In fair condition. The hat presents well from the outside. The satin inner band is deteriorating and tears easily. There is residue and discoloration inside the crown, likely from an old sticker or label. The grosgrain ribbon band shows discoloration and colour variation. The raffia and outer ribbon are in wearable condition. The hat is sold as-is, price adjusted to condition.
