All the fun of the old routine with a “Blendo” finale. In collaboration with Gary Dunn and Lee Alex for Practical Magic. EFFECT: The magician shows a red bag. The magician shows their favourite BLACK bow, which is placed into the bag. Now for the magic! This can be a magic word, or if desired, the magician can throw white paper confetti circles (readily available online from various sources) over the bag. The magician reaches inside the bag and removes the bow, which is now emblazoned with white spots! The audience suspects that there is another bow tie in the bag, so the magician turns the red bag inside out to show a plain black interior. The spotted bow tie is placed back into the bag and another magic word is chanted. The bow is removed from the bag once again and seen to be plain black. The bag is turned inside out once again and now the audience see the interior of the bag has also become covered in white polka dots. The magician appears to quickly count the spots on the bag. In shock the magician announces that one spot is missing. The magician looks around for the missing spot, placing the spotted bow back into the bag. In a sudden transformation the bag changes into a large silk with the picture of a cute Dalmatian puppy, the so-called “Missing Spot”! Beautifully made by Lee Alex, this is a fantastic routine, based on the old effect, but brought right up to date for the 21st Century!
